What Is Happening
For more than a decade, Syria has been the scene of one of the most devastating conflicts of our time. Millions of people have been forcibly displaced, hundreds of thousands have lost their lives, and entire generations have grown up amid violence, hunger, and uncertainty.
But beyond the numbers, there is something equally painful: the silence. The silence in the face of systematic human rights violations, the silence in the face of enforced disappearances, the silence in the face of bombings targeting hospitals, schools, and markets.
